PORTRAITS 1978 Set of eleven vintage gelatin silver prints on semi-matte paper. 17.8 × 8.7 cm (18 × 9 cm), verso marked with the artist’s stamp. Depicted in the photographs are: Dalibor Chatrny, Rudolf Fila, Jiri Valoch, Robert Hlinensky, Gerta Pospisilova, Josef Jankovic, J. H. Kocman, Dana Chatrna, Vera Chatrna, Marie Kratochvilova, and Igor Zhor. Paper folder with flaps, signed in ink by the artist and dated “Dalibor Chatrny 78”. Excellent condition. Another reduced portrait of Igor Zhor: Collections of the Moravian Gallery in Brno, inv. no. MG 10168; Gerta Pospisilova inv. no. MG 10169; Jiri Valoch inv. no. MG 10170; Dalibor Chatrny inv. no. MG 10171. Provenance: acquired from the estate of the Czechoslovak painter, graphic artist, illustrator, photographer, teacher, and writer Rudolf Fila (1932–2015).
