This is an extremely rare original photograph of what was perhaps the most unusual of the Wright brothers' airplanes: the 1913 "aeroboat", which was their version of a hydroplane or seaplane. Information about this highly uncommon aircraft can be seen in scan number 4. This photo also has superb clarity with wonderful tonality and contrast. All of our aviation photos are original "Type 1" unless otherwise noted. Type 1 photographs are both taken and printed in the same year unlike later prints that are so often sold as "original".
