Presented is a vintage black and white photograph of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, DC. A waving 48-star American flag is prominently captured in the foreground. The Capitol is decorated with bunting and wreaths, with a large crowd on both the steps and the lawn in front of the Capitol. It is possible the photograph was taken during an Inauguration address. A blind embossed stamp in the bottom left corner reads “C. O. Buckingham.” The photograph is stamped on the back “Published & Copyrighted by The C. O. Buckingham Co., 810 - 18th Street, N. W., Washington, D. C.” with black ink.
