작품 상세

BRETT WESTON, CHINESE TOMB. 13 ¾ x 9 ½ inch gelatin silver print on an 18 x 15 inch mount, signed (but not dated) in light pencil on the lower right corner of the mat. The image is reversed, so it needs to be reversed again for the Chinese characters to be legible. They say “AO’s family tomb” and are somehow affixed to the black surface of the tomb. The leaves of a plant rise up from the bottom. A plant like this appears in several of Weston’s photographs. This may have been taken in Hawaii. It was printed by Weston for the Aperture Foundation. Excellent condition.
