Title, date, and numbering in pencil sheet verso. Don Worth (1924-2009) held an innate love for classical music, with disciplined study that translated into a technical mastery of photography. Worth's path resembles that of his mentor, Ansel Adams, who also balanced his commitments to music and photography. Worth became Adams' first full-time assistant in 1956, initiating a long-term friendship founded on their mutual aesthetic interests. Worth went on to differentiate himself as a horticultural photographer, and taught photography for three decades in San Francisco.
