The frame has slightly worn. The dimensions are 30 x 24 cm, while the frame is 55 x 45 cm in size. Rineke Dijkstra (b. 1959) Rineke Dijkstra studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam from 1981 to 1986. Afterwards she worked as a freelance photographer for fashion magazines and a business magazine. Artistic dissatisfied with the photo experienced self-presentation of the models and the sitters, she searched for naturalness and authenticity. Thus she began to photograph children and young people in bathing suits on the beach that brought her international attention in the early 1990s. Dijkstra works in conceptual series and documents her models often over several years. Her photographs and videos have been shown in numerous international exhibitions.
