These works were based on his striking photographic series 'Men in the Cities' unveiling the choreography behind his subject matter. The photo shooting was taken on a New York rooftop and displayed the artist's friends that included Cindy Sherman and Larry Gagosian. Longo directed them in front of the camera and deliberately photographed them in free fall. The series is an impressive example of his works positioned on the apogee of that era of art, ready to embrace a spirit of abandon, punk and irony. The C-Print is signed with black felt tip lower right and numbered lower left '18/100'. The work is matted and in very good condition. The image measures 22.5 x 15 cm and the size of the sheet is 25.5 x 18.5 cm. The framed overall dimensions are 38 x 31 cm. Since 1976, his works have been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions at international institutions, including the documenta, the MoMA, the Stedelijk Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
