HAROLD EDGERTON, "DENSMORE SHUTE BENDS THE SHAFT". 7 7/8 x 8 ¾- inch ferrotyped gelatin silver print, 1938, printed early 1960's. Has "H.E. Edgerton" stamp and Neikrug Gallery "New York 21, N.Y." stamp on verso. Provenance: From Edgerton to Neikrug Gallery to owner. The street address on Edgerton's stamp has been blacked out, as he had moved. This could help date the print. This is one of Edgerton's most dynamic and exciting strobe light photographs. It looks like some kind of fantastic bird.
