The French photographer Bettina Rheims created the portrait series with Olga Rodionova as the model, in commission of her husband, the Russian oligarch Sergey. At the beginning of the book is an introduction by Catherine Millet. The 154 pages are illustrated with more than 100 depictions in colors. The book is signed on the first page in black felt pen by the photographer and numbered typographically on the first page '0472' from an edition of 1000 + 200 artist proofs. The book is in very good condition. The dimensions of the book are 44.4 x 29.8 cm and the dimensions of the clamshell box are 54.7 x 35.7 cm. Bettina Rheims (b. 1952) The career of the photographer, who was born in 1952 close to Paris, began with photographs of Parisian strippers in 1978. She worked for fashion magazines and advertisement agencies and published several volumes of photographs since 1991. The theme that coins her work is the female body that she often stages in voyeuristic situations. Rheims extended the theme to the aspect of transsexuality/transgender within the frame of her photo series 'Modern Lovers' in 1993. Bettina Rheims received the Grand Prix de la Photographie of the City of Paris in 1994 and she received the commission to create the official portrait of the new French president Jacques Chirac in 1995.
