[...]' Image size: 24.1 x 15.7 cm Very good condition Lisa Larsen was regarded as the 'glamour girl' of press photography; her extensive oeuvre covers unique and highly publicized events In the 1950s, LIFE magazine sent Lisa Larsen, then in her late 20s, to the most important and historic occasions in the world. Her series of John and Jacky Kennedy's wedding captures one of the most high-profile American weddings of the 20th century and provides a surprisingly intimate chronicle of the nuptials. The present picture reveals the married couple dancing at their wedding reception. The silver gelatin print shows the copyright stamp 'CREDIT TO READ: Lisa Larson LIFE MAGAZINE © Time Inc.' on the verso; it is also stamped 'AGENZIA MASI s.a.s. [...]'. There are further stamps and handwritten notes such as 'John and Jacqueline Kennedy dance at their wedding [...]'. The print is in very good condition considering its age; the surface of the photo paper is slightly damaged outside the depiction. The image size is 24.1 x 15.7 cm and the size of the sheet is 25.5 x 20.5 cm. Lisa Larsen (1925-1959) Lisa Larsen was born in Germany and went to New York at the age of 17, in order to become a young apprentice photographer for Vague magazine. She later worked as a freelance photographer for New York Times Magazine, Glamour and further well-known magazines. Between 1950 and 1958, she was active as a press photographer under contract with LIFE magazine. Larsen won numerous awards for her photographs and was named 'Woman Photographer of the Year' by the National Photographers Association in 1953.
