It was produced in 2008 as number 30 in an edition of 950 works. The impressive and stunning photo shows glowing red lava that flows down a volcano into the sea where huge clouds of steam rise. In Hawaiian mythology Pele is the goddess of fire and volcanoes. Her name means "molten lava". According to religious believes she lives on Mount Kilauea, the largest volcano in Hawaii and the most active volcano in the world. Photo and frame are in very good condition. The photo is signed and numbered lower right. The overall dimensions are 74 x 96 cm (framed) and 46 x 68 cm (cut out).
