Titled in mount, "West Association Team Champions of Basket Ball, 1896" with all the players identified and photographer's cdredit of Rosevear. Minor scratches to image. James Naismith, a Canadian, invented basketball in 1891 just 5 years prior to this photograph being taken and shows how rapidly the sport took off.
