Man Ray Mr. and Mrs. Woodman ... in Hollywood 1947. The Hague: Edition Unida, 1970 4to (11 1/2 x 10 1/2 in.; 292 x 267 mm). 27 black-and-white photographs (4 1/4 x 6 3/4 in.; 108 x 171 mm) mounted on thick cardboard sheets, original color engraving numbered XII/XV and signed by the artist (framed, glazed, 10 3/4 x 9 1/2 in.; 273 x 241 mm). Red morocco, spine lettered in gilt, all edges gilt. Leather-edged marble case, black silk velvet chemise. First edition; first photograph signed on verso by the artist. The verso of each photograph is stamped with Man Ray's name and epreuve originale." This famous photographic novel depicting two miniature mannequins in 26 exuberant sexual positions and finally in repose was executed by Man Ray in 1947. The mannequins were altered to approximate anatomical correctness.
