BIOGRAPHY: Soviet graphic artist, poster artist, artist of postcards, stamps and envelopes. Born September 1, 1923. Lived in Moscow. Participant of the Great Patriotic War Senior lieutenant, called up in October 1941 by the Railway RVC of Moscow. Platoon commander. Considered missing in action on July 12, 1942 in the Kantemirovka area of the Voronezh region. On February 21, 1945, he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class, and in 1985 the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st class.Collaborated with the Military Publishing House of the USSR Ministry of Defense. In the 1970s, he also held the position of editor-in-chief of the Directorate for the Publication and Forwarding of Postal Payment Marks (DIEZPO) of the USSR Ministry of Communications.During his service in the USSR Ministry of Communications, A. M. Aksamit completed a huge amount of work on the design of philatelic and related products. Thus, he is the author of illustrations for postage stamps, envelopes (including KPD and HMK), maximum cards and postcards of such famous series as: "Sailing Fleet of the USSR", "Scientific Research Fleet of the USSR", "History of the Domestic Fleet. Icebreakers", "Civil Aviation of the USSR", "Automobile Industry in the USSR", "Gliding Sports in the USSR", "Tourism in the USSR", etc. Author of a stamp for the 30th anniversary of the defeat of the fascists near Leningrad (1974).He created posters for the Central Union's Cooperative Trade Advertising Agency ("Pesticides", 1958); author of military posters "I am always ready to defend the Motherland. Military oath" (1961), "Seventeen meetings, seventeen victories" (1960-1965), "He rammed an armored train" (1960s).Printed posters by A. M.
