Johann Mongels Culverhouse (Dutch/New York, 1820-1893) oil on canvas genre scene depicting a family sharing a candlelit drink, signed and dated lower left "J.M. Culverhouse," 1851, in arched gilt frame with artist's plaque lower center. [Canvas: 16" H x 12" W; Frame: 22.5" H x 18.75" W]. Overall good condition, light rubbing to edges, frame with losses and wear. From the Collection of Sonia and Philip Reine of Long Island.
