RAFFIN (Ferdinand) The Tales of Scheherazade. Watercolor by F[erdinand] Raffin dated 1941. 19.5 x 14.5 cm. Framed. Ferdinand Raffin (1877-1954). During his long period of activity, he illustrated various books for the publishing houses Armand Colin, Mame, Martinet, Picard & Kaan and others. He joined La Semaine de Suzette in 1909 and remained a regular contributor until 1948. He also contributed to a number of magazines, including Le Chat Noir and Le Petit Français illustré.
