The striking element of a human head in a garish red color scheme with pronounced shading does not bear the typical grimace, but has its mouth covered with distinctive lines that seem to prevent the figure from speaking. This metaphorical depiction is enhanced by a gaze fixed somewhere in the distance, perhaps looking with hope toward a better future. Demonstrating the author‘s interest in color relationships is the contrast of red with green.
