acrylic on canvas, 200 x 150 cm, Provenance: collection of Rostislav Vanek, a significant Czech graphic designer and typographer. The twisted figure of a woman with a monstrous figure, convulsively positioned limbs and a strange expression strides across the canvas in a mass of browns and yellows, complemented by striking tones of green and pink. Through its broken black outlines, Skrepl manages to suggest that this is nonetheless a human being.
