Born in 1904 in Gaspoltshofen (Upper Austria), he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Rudolf Bacher, participated in exhibitions of the Künstlerhaus Wien (Vienna Artists' Association) from the 1930s onward, lived and worked primarily in Upper Austria, and dedicated himself to landscapes, portraits, and religious subjects. Mayrhuber created Upper Austrian landscapes, genre paintings, and sacred works characterized by harmonious colors, fine brushwork, and Impressionist-Realistic elements, influenced by the Vienna School and regional folk art.
