Mark KOSTABI (American, b. 1960) and Howard FINSTER (American, 1916-2001): "Reinventing the Self". Oil paint, with marker on canvas, 1993. Both artists signed on the front of the canvas in oil and in marker, respectively. Annotated, by Finster "by Howard Finster and Kostabi - We work together - 33.000-528 WORKS". Also signed, titled, dated "9-17-93" and "1993" by Kostabi in pencil. There is another annotation, in marker "8-10-95 Ammonium" also on the verso. It seems the overall painted composition is in the hand of Kostabi, while all marker lines, the blue eyes and perhpas some other color linework is in the hand of Finster. Framed. With certificate of authenticity from Martin Lawrence Galleries, as well as with their label on the back. Canvas size: 10 x 8 inches. Frame size: 12 x 10 inches.
