This devotional oil painting from the 17th century depicts the Madonna and Child in a traditional, spiritual composition. The Virgin Mary is seated, holding the infant Jesus who, in turn, holds a small goldfinch, a symbol of the Passion. They are flanked by two bearded male saints, both with halos, whose solemn expressions frame the central figures.
