Juan Sisay (Guatemalan, 1921-1989) oil paintings on canvas depicting daily life in a Guatemalan village. One work shows two women walking with vessels balanced on their heads, while the other features a gathering of villagers encircling a large tree. Both paintings are signed lower left. Presented in wood frames. Measure from 12 1/2" - 14 1/2" x 10 3/4" - 12 1/2" x 1/2" - 1 3/4". Works measure from 9 3/4" - 12" x 7 3/4" - 10" approximately. Condition: Good to fair overall condition having normal surface wear. The canvas edges display cracking and areas of paint losses, especially along the borders. Hole in the canvas lower lower left on the larger work. Storage wear with scuffs and losses to the edges and the corners of the frame. Please bid accordingly.
