A church is in the background along with clouds, flowers, and crosses.  Cuzco school paintings were developed from the 17th century through the 19th century in Peru during the Spanish Colonial era when Italian artist Bernardo Bitti arrived. Cuzco School paintings often feature religious themes and a blend of European and indigenous styles, including the use of indigenous materials and iconography.
