Title: Saint Camilus de Lellis Origin: Mexico, Folk Art, 19th Century Medium: Oil Paint on Tin Dimensions: 14x18in Condition: The paint is worn in spots of the tin, some rusting, and some lifts and folds in the tin.  Additional Information: A Mexican Folk Art Icon Retablo painting on tin of Saint Camilus de Lellis created around 1880.  The painting show Saint Francis holding a cross and rosemary beads with a hook laid across his chest. The background is gold with the saying caridad in Spanish which translates to charity, the act of giving or offering help to those in need. The tin painting has been mounted to a framed board.
