Ivan Jordell (1901-1965), Modernist cottages by the sea. Oil on board. Signed in LR corner. Swedish, early to mid 20th century.  Ivan Jordell was a Swedish painter of landscapes, cityscapes and portraits. He attended Skånska Målarskolan, Malmö and his first solo exhibition was at the Malmö Museum. Jordell exhibited at the Malmö Museum, the Gothenburg Art Gallery and the Linköping Museum. Examples of his work are held in the collections of the National Museum and Moderna Museet, the Malmö Museum, Gothenburg Art Museum and National Gallery of Denmark.  Frame: H 27 in. W 23 in.  Sight: H 24 in. W 19 in.  Condition: No damage noted. Paint rubbed from frame in some areas along the edge from use.
