Signed and dated 1867. 113 x 82 cm. Accompanied by a gilded stucco period frame. Luis Andriani y Rosique fue coronel de infantería y teniente gobernador de Trinidad, Cuba, en 1854.Bautizado en la Catedral de Matanzas en la Habana. Sus padres eran Luis María Andriani y Escofet (1773-1865) y Francisca de Paula Rosique. Provenance: By inheritance, the painting has always remained in the same family descended from Luis Adriani y Rosique. Attached are two photographs from the time of the soldier, one of them in a photographic studio in which we see on the left a decorative panel with the Castle of San Carlos de la Habana (Castillo del Morro).
