Richard Sachs, Sommerabend Blick von einer Anhöhe in weite vogtländische, sanft bewegte Kuppenlandschaft, unter effektvoll bewölktem Himmel im Abendlicht, pastose Landschaftsmalerei in fein abgestimmter Farbigkeit, Öl auf Karton, links unten signiert und datiert "Rich. Sachs [19]20", rückseitig Rahmungsetikett "Bilder-Geyer ... Plauen", schön in Goldleiste gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 41 x 52 cm. Künstlerinfo: dt. Landschaftsmaler und Entwerfer (1875 Plauen bis 1947 Speziallager Jamlitz bei Lieberose), Begründer der vogtländischen Malerfamilie Sachs, bis 1892 Schüler der Königlichen Industrieschule in Plauen (Kunstschule), anschließend Wanderschaft durch Bayern und Tirol, zeitweise in Trient als Klostermaler tätig, 1902 erste eigene Ausstellung, ab 1905 freischaffend in Jocketa tätig, unterhielt hier ein Musterzeichenatelier, Mitglied der "Malergruppe Vogtland", ab ca. 1934 Hilfslehrer an der Plauener Kunst- und Gewerbeschule, beschickte 1944 die Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung in München, 1945–47 in Bautzen und später im Speziallager Jamlitz bei Lieberose interniert, tätig in Jocketa, Quelle: Familie des Künstlers, Thieme-Becker, Dressler, Müller-Singer, Kalkoff "Handbuch des Kunstmarktes: Kunstadressbuch für das Deutsche Reich ...", Flämig "Staatliche Kunst- und Fachschule für Textilindustrie Plauen/Vogtl." und Frank Weiß "Malerei im Vogtland".
