John ter Reehorst 1901-1985 John ter Reehorst (name variant: Carel Hubertus ter Reehorst) was born on 31 January 1901 in Watergraafsmeer and died on 5 September in Delden. Ter Reehorst was self-taught and during his lifetime skilled both as a painter, draughtsman and pastelist. He worked in many places, whether for long periods or not (Amsterdam, The Hague, Brussels, Belgium i.a., Germany, France, North Africa, Spain, Neede and Paris). Both (winter) landscapes, seascapes, flowers, non-figurative representations and still lifes are known from him. Mentioned in Scheen, Scharten.
