작품 상세

Jan Nowopacký traveled widely in Germany, Austria and the south of Europe. He was one of the outstanding landscape painters, and from the same year we know, for example, a watercolor of a similarly composed landscape, but probably from a different angle, which is now in the collections of the Moravian Gallery. Romantic vistas of the water surface were among his often depicted situations. From 1851 he was employed by the counts of Hoyos in Lower Austria. These jobs provided him material security and enabled him to travel mainly in central Italy and Campania. Technique: oil on cardboard, Signed: sign. lower right: Jan Nowopacký 1852 č.14
