Jh., unten rechts signiert "E. O. Simonson Castelli", partiell Craqueluren, etwas Kratzer in der Gemäldeoberfläche, Leinwand geflickt (hinterlegt) und retuschiert, etwas reinigungsbedürftig, gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 83 x 60,5 cm. Künstlerinfo: dt. Maler (1864 Dresden bis 1929 Dresden), Sohn des Portrait- und Historienmalers David Simonson, Studium an der Akademie in Dresden bei Ferdinand Pauwels, ab 1890 in München und hier Schüler seines Schwagers Gotthardt Kuehl, ab 1892 Studium an der Académie Julian bei Jules Duprés, ließ sich 1893 in seiner Heimatstadt Dresden nieder und war als freischaffender Maler tätig, nannte sich ab 1898 Simonson-Castelli, 1899 Verleihung des Professorentitels der Akademie der Künste in Urbino, Quelle: Thieme-Becker und Wikipedia.
