Ca. 1840, oil on tulip poplar board, unsigned. Well done portrait of a young woman dressed in blue with gold jewelry, her hair in ringlets and she's seated in a classical sofa. A few minor surface scratches and edge wear from earlier frame, board has slight center warp. 15.5"h. 12.5"w.
