FAMED IMPRESSIONIST ARTIST JACK GATES ( 1903-1997) born in the Ukraine, began his paintings in Russia , followed by formal training at the National Academy of Design and the Art Students League in New York City . He was represented by the Hammer Gallery's and the Grand Central Art Gallery among others. Gates style is a loose impressionism that bespoke softness and spiritualism. He conveyed a special seeing of the world through the senses of the soul. His work brings reminisces of great artists of the past.
