Domingo Ravenet Esquerdo (Spanish Cuban, 1905-1969). An original watercolor painting on perforated paper. Titled "Banistas" ("Bathers"), an abstract figural work with nude human figures. Artist signed and dated 1942 to lower right. Perforation to top. The artist is regarded as an important member of the Cuban avant-garde. Presented with a two tone mat border in a carved wood frame. From a private Palm Beach Collection. Accompanied by Spanish language Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist's daughter; also accompanied by Spanish language art book, RAVENET (2015 Fundacion Arte Cubano, 252 pp., hard cover); this exact work is described and shown on page 87. Work Size: 13.5 x 9 in. Dimensions: 24.75 X 21.75 X 1.25 in. Condition: Good overall condition with normal surface wear and aged paper toning. Frame shows storage wear. Painting has not be examined outside of frame. Estate fresh to the market.
