A rare Aboriginal painting on a sheet of rock by Bobby Barrdjaray Nganjmirra (1912-1992). The front surface with two “Mimi spirits in black ink, one carrying a dilly back over a stencil of the artists arm and hand in white. Bobby was a very influential artist from Djalama clan and Yirridjdja moiety in Arnhem land, who grew up living a traditional lifestyle, then later served on various Art councils in the Northern Territory. His artworks reside in important Australian and International Institutional Collections. Known for his bark paintings he was heavily influenced from Rock art, taking his own artistic flair when painting figures.
