Graves, John (American/Pittsburgh, 1919-2004), Last Ball Game at Forbes Field, 1998, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left, and again signed, titled and dated on stretcher bar reverse, 24 x 30 inches, in a wood frame 28.5 x 34.5 inches. An excellent example of 20th century Western Pennsylvania folk art by this self taught artist, memorializing the final baseball game played by the Pittsburgh Pirates at Forbes Field in Oakland.
