An oil on canvas painting depicting a small cottage nestled near a river. A woman can be seen displaying her laundry on a clothesline near the home. Artist’s signature is not visible and the painting is presented in a gold-tone wooden frame. Hardware is present to the verso for hanging. The painting belonged to the estate of Levey Brothers Company businessman, Louis H. Levey. Mr. Levey died in 1934 and the painting was acquired by the Indianapolis Medical Society (est. 1848) after the death of Mrs. Meta Levey in 1959.
