An oil on canvas painting titled "The Milk Cows" features a pair of black and brown guernsey cattle grazing in a grassy landscape. The signature of American artist, George Riecke (1848-1930) can be seen at the lower right-hand corner of the canvas as "Geo Riecke. This painting is presented in a gold gilt wooden frame, hardware present for hanging. The painting belonged to the estate of Levey Brothers Company businessman, Louis H. Levey. Mr. Levey died in 1934 and the painting was acquired by the Indianapolis Medical Society (est. 1848) after the death of Mrs. Meta Levey in 1959.
