Poor ‘Anum', as the artist Noor Mahnun Mohamed is called, being roped in into a painted concept drama, about a Muslim woman sentenced to caning for being caught consuming alcohol. This was in Justin Lim's November 2010 exhibition at Taksu Kuala Lumpur called Secret Identities. ‘Anum' is shown wearing a t-shirt with the tell-tale Tiger Beer logo, and the incriminating word, Guilty, is emblazoned in the lower part. The image is more than being seen as illustrative. The catalogue writer, Australian Gina Farley, branded the image a “psycho-semantic dialogue†Justin Lim completed his postgraduate studies in 2006 with a Master of Art (Fine Art) degree from The Open University UK conducted at Lasalle - SIA College of the Arts, Singapore, where he had a BFA (Hons), majoring in Painting.
