JOSEPH LINDON SMITH (NH/RI, 1863-1960) Stepped Fountain in a Formal Garden, probably Newport, Rhode Island, oil on linen, signed lower right, in gold molded frame, OS: 31" x 34", SS: 22" x 25". The painting is good, losses to frame. Smith was the honorary curator of the Egyptian department of the Boston Museum, and he taught at the Museum as well as at Harvard.
