ATTRIBUTED TO QIU YING (1494-1552), ONE HUNDRED BEAUTIES, ink on silk, comprising of ten large and impressive panels - each panel mounted to wooden board with locking frame, overall measurement of the combined panels 184cm high x 474cm wide, the piece inscribed and signed Qiuying Shifu, with artist's seal Qiuying zhi yin, followed by three seals Xingong zhen shang, Yizhou zhen cang and Yizhou jian shang, bearing two inscriptions, one signed Wang Shideng (1535-1612) with two seals; Qingyangjun and Deng, the other inscription signed Qian Gu (1509-1578) with one seal which reads Shubao. Provenance; from a private collection, this piece was brought to Hong Kong in the 1960s and acquired by the family in the 1970s where it has remained ever since.
