Alan Flattmann (American/Louisiana, b. 1946), "Barbados Street Scene, West Indies", watercolor on paper, signed lower right, sight 10 in. x 14 in., framed. Provenance: Bryant Galleries, Jackson, MS Note: Alan Flattmann studied at the John McCrady Art School on Bourbon St. in the French Quarter. In 1973, he won the Elizabeth T. Greenshields Memorial Foundation Grant, which allowed him to live and work in Barbados, West Indies for two years. During this time, Flattmann began the transition from oil and watercolor to pastels.
