Otherwise it is in good condition, consistent with age, The frame shows usual signs of age and wear as well as different loss of color. Carl Otto (1830-1902) Carl Otto was a German painter and porcelain artist in Munich. Otto studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts where he was a pupil of the famous and enthusiastic teacher Carl Theodor von Piloty (1826-1886). The artist who created history paintings, cityscapes, portraits, genre scenes and still lifes was guided by the ideas of romanticism.
