"Amidst hard work and difficulty, there are so many romantic and intimate moments found in life on a farm. These twins were born in the late spring and though still very young in this painting, they tell a story of simplicity and companionship. There is great joy to be found in the simple things in life, like catching the last warm rays of the sun after a long day, or just sitting quietly with a close friend and enjoying the singular fact that you're together. The many lessons are subtle and easy to overlook, but if we have the eyes to see we have the privilege of enjoying these little moments that really change our attitudes and perspectives." -M.M.
