MASSACHUSETTS/ VERMONT, 1886-1950 A fine example of the artistic hand of New England impressionist Charles Curtis Allen. Entitled "New England Spring", the oil on canvas painting depicts a valley between mountain ranges with intricate detailing throughout. A bridge and creek can be seen to the right in the middle ground flowing leftward into the foreground. The focal point of the painting is a large tree grown through a neglected fence with new spring time foliage. The painting is signed in the lower right hand corner and dated 1915. The painting retains original A.J Kollar Gallery label. Truly one of the finest examples of Charles Curtis Allen's work.
