NEW YORK, B. 1934 A watercolor on canvas painting by famed contemporary abstract artist Richard Segalman. Entitled "Top Hat", the work depicts a reclined female figure titillatingly positioned concealing her eyes with the rim of her hat. Unlike the majority of Segalman's work, "Top Hat" is predominantly comprised of a monochromatic color palette. The work is signed in the lower right hand corner. On the reverse the work retains the original Harmon-Meek Gallery label and exhibition pamphlet. The painting was executed in 1995-1996. Truly a fine example of Segalman's work.
