VRIES, Herman de (Dutch 1931). Composition, 1957. Gouache, ink and ink wash on paper, signed in ink 'her', located 'wageningen' and dated '26-12 57' (centre right in the image), dated and located again on the reverse. Pinholes and occasional minor wear along the edges, lower left corner sl. torn, several small losses, else good. With an authenticity verification by the artist from 2015: photo reproduction of the drawing signed and dated 'Herman de Vries 1957' (on the reverse). Rare example of his pre-zero work.
