Edmund Bristow British, 1787-1876 Mr. William Loft of Thorpe, Riding near Alford with Two Greyhounds Oil on canvas 22 1/4 x 30 inches (56.5 x 76.2 cm) Mr. Loft was a gentleman yeoman and a breeder of courser greyhounds. These, got by Sir Charles Bunbury's "Spring," a black and white bitch with pronounced bulldog blood, were much celebrated. C
