This charming scene of a woman in a lively Parisian café is typical of Gall's style. Francois Gall was a Hungarian born artist who spent much of his career as a painter in Paris. Gall studied painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in Rome, and later the National Acadmey of Fine Arts, Paris in the 1930s. Gall was eventually granted French citizenship in 1942. Gall followed many of the original Impressionists, using and embellishing upon their techniques. His paintings often portray women, Parisian street scenes and landscapes. Frame Included.
