Condition: The oil painting displays under UV-light small touch-ups in the upper corners and at the upper edge. There are occasional small paint losses to the lateral edges, minor framing marks, a horizontal crack in the paint layer as well as very occasional insignificant scratches to the varnish. The overall condition is good, the overall impression is very good. The frame shows signs of age and use. The painting measures 89.5 x 60 cm. The framed dimensions are 110 x 80.5 cm. Luciano Ventrone (born 1942) Born in Rome, Luciano Ventrone grew up in Denmark. From 1960, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. From 1964 to 1968, he continued to study architecture. Afterwards, Ventrone worked as a freelance artist. His paintings - mainly female nudes and still lifes - show a fine elaboration of light and shadow effects, which makes the subject oscillate between realism and abstraction.
