Oil on canvas, relined Netherlands, 16[94] Gaspar Peeter II Verbruggen (1664-1730) – Dutch still life painter, active in Antwerp Signed as well as inscribed and dated within the depiction lower right ‘Gas. P. Verbruggen f. 16[94]’ Dimensions: 45.5 x 57 cm Frame: 60.5 x 71.5 cm Good condition  Provenance: Private collection, Baltic States Condition: The painting is in good condition, consistent with age and wear. The canvas is relined and a little bit rubbed along the edges. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered areas of small retouchings and restorations. The stretcher measures 45.5 x 57 cm. The frame is well preserved with small traces of use. The framed overall dimensions are 60.5 x 71.5 cm. Gaspar Peeter II Verbruggen (1664-1730) Gaspar Peeter II Verbruggen was active in Antwerp and specialized in high-quality flower and fruit still lifes.
